Why is Eagle Fun Camp the best? It could be our silly summer camp staff, amazing field trips, or the opportunity to play outside all summer long. Our camps aren’t just camps, they are an opportunity to build relationships, learn, grow, create, and discover your true self. Each camp is specially designed to offer opportunities for campers to try new things, learn, grow, and make lifelong friendships.
Our programs provide developmentally appropriate activities for children ages 5-10, Monday through Friday.
Eagle Fun Camp prides itself in celebrating and nurturing the social, emotional, and physical development of all youth.
To ensure that there is less contact in communal spaces, each child will receive their own kit of supplies daily. This will consist of markers, crayons, scissors, etc. in order to create crafts and projects in a safe and low-contact manner.
Each child will be given their own space to create and play at camp. This will include a cubby system for their supplies, backpack, and lunch. As well as a table and chair, classroom style, for all activities that we are not on our feet and running around.
Due to Eagle Elementary School and local playgrounds being closed, we are going to have camp at the Eagle Landing Community Center (175 E. Mission Drive Eagle, ID.) This will allow for plenty of space to social distance, play outside, and seek shelter if needed for sunny days.
All our staff members will wear friendly cloth face masks every day, unless doing activities that involve necessary mouth movement, such as playing an instrument.** Daily Screening will be required at camp every single day. Temperature will be taken via a no-contact thermometer before children can enter camp. All surfaces will be cleaned hourly. Children will wash hands or sanitize between every activity.
**Please contact me if your child has difficulty hearing or requires lip reading.
Huddle groups will be static, and will not mingle children between groups. Group sizes will be no more than 10 children. Each group will have separate eating, recreation, and restroom facilities. Social distancing will be encouraged through camp procedures, games, and songs, but we do understand the limitations in social distancing children. All huddle groups will have contact with one another, although we will limit this to the best of our ability.
Camp will not be able to facilitate field trips this year, due to social distancing.
Please see an example of our new schedules below.
We will have new pick-up & drop-off procedures this summer to limit physical contact between staff and parents. You will receive a 15 minute window for drop-off and pick-up by last name. These procedures will be emailed to you in our welcome email on May 18th!
We are no longer able to facilitate Counselors-in-Training for summer 2020, in order to keep staff and children from mixing too much.
We are no longer able to offer early drop off & late pick up for summer 2020, in order to keep all counselors in charge of the same children.
Camp staff will be trained in all protocols and procedures thoroughly.
We have complete trust in our counselors to enforce these protocols in a fun and educational way that maintains the health and safety of all campers. We are so proud to be able to provide our camp this summer to our families in Eagle. We can’t wait for your child to unplug, explore nature, and play outdoors with us this summer.
We understand that with the new protocols, you may wish to cancel or refund your camp experience for 2020. If you do want to cancel we ask that you would consider donating your camp registration to a camper who is in financial need this summer. Please contact us right away if you decide to cancel,so we can get you a refund in full.
