Mayor Pierce Signs Social Distancing Declaration of Local Disaster Emergency Order

Tuesday, March 24, 2020, Eagle Mayor Jason Pierce signed a Declaration of Local Disaster Emergency Order that mandates Social Distancing in the City of Eagle. The Local Disaster Emergency Order goes into effect at 12:00 AM, Wednesday, March 25, 2020, and declares the following:

  1. Individuals are requested to the greatest extent practicable that they maintain a six-foot (6’) distance from other people in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19. 
  2. All dine-in services at restaurants, bars, and coffee houses shall be prohibited. However, takeout and delivery services are permitted at those businesses.
  3. All fitness facilities such as gyms, CrossFit, yoga studios, etc. shall have no more than 10 patrons at any given time using said facilities.
  4. If an individual is sick, stay home except to get medical care. Other individuals are generally encouraged to stay home and only go out for essentials. 
  5. Individuals are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines for cleanliness and disinfection to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
