Library Card
Founded by volunteers in 1963, the Eagle Public Library has been a city department since 1974. In February 1999, a new 16,700-square-foot library building was dedicated at 100 N Stierman Way. Currently, the Library offers city residents over 80,000 books and audio-visual items and 185 magazine titles. Because Eagle Library is a member of the regional LYNX! Consortium, city residents also have free access to the collections at Boise Public Library and to those of eight other libraries in southern Idaho. The Library is open 7 days a week, 65 hours per week, and has weekly programs for children of all ages and a variety of year-round programs for adults and teens. The Library’s “HouseCalls” program delivers materials to homebound patrons. The community room in the Library may be booked for non-commercial uses. There are many opportunities for volunteering at the Library or for working with the Friends of the Library.
