City Clerk / Treasurer's Office

Department Overview

The City Clerk is the custodian of the City Seal and City Records. The duties of the City Clerk are set forth in Section 50-207 Idaho Code, and the Eagle City Code. The City Clerk attends all sessions of the City Council and records the minutes of the meetings. The City Clerk is responsible for submitting claims against the City to the City Council in addition to monthly and annual financial reports. The City Clerk's office issues City Licenses, responds to complaints and public record requests. The City Clerk acts as the Personnel Officer of the City. The Clerk's Office also oversees Human Resources including job openings.

City Clerk’s Office

The Clerk’s Office serves as the administrative division of the Mayor’s Office that maintains complete and accurate records of all of the City’s permanent records. The office also provides services to the Mayor and City Council, all operating City Departments and the public. The City Clerk is also responsible for:

  • Catering Permits
  • Fixed Assets
  • Preserving Vital City Records
  • Public Records Requests
  • Publishing Legal and Public Notice
  • Regulation of Business Licenses
  • Vendors Licenses

This office also tracks outdated records and schedules legal destruction of all city documents.

City Treasurer’s Office

The Treasurer Office administers all financial functions within the City and provides efficient, accurate reporting to the general public and City departments and ensures that policies, procedures and transactions comply with City Council directives and governmental accounting standards and administers all financial operations of the City. This department oversees the City’s financial obligations such as maintaining the accounts receivable, accounts payable, oversees payroll, purchasing, and all general receipts. Budgeting, auditing, and facilitating the Community Infrastructure District of the City of Eagle fall under the direction of the City Treasurer’s Office.

Records Management-Information Department

This department provides administrative and technical assistance in the maintenance of City wide records, information and contract management using Laserfiche.
