The City of Eagle is seeking interested individuals to fill five (5) seats on the Eagle Downtown Advisory Board.  The City of Eagle established this advisory board to provide sustainability and continued redevelopment and revitalization of the City’s downtown planning areas.  To accomplish its mission, the board will work closely with organizations, businesses, property owners, City Staff, and community groups to develop an Eagle Downtown Master Plan which will include goals, objectives, implementation strategies, and an action plan which in turn will promote city-wide economic development efforts and foster downtown revitalization.  In addition, the board will have task items in which to work through on matters pertaining to issues impacting the economic, social, cultural, environmental, physical, and educational conditions in Downtown Eagle.

The Board will conduct regular monthly meetings.  Special meetings may be requested by the Economic Development Director and/or Mayor, the Chair of the Board, or by a majority of its voting members.

Members of the Board shall serve staggered terms with two (2) board members serving two (2) year terms, and three (3) board members serving three (3) year terms.  The term of the Board will be active indefinitely or until an independent Downtown Business Association has been created.

Those who wish to serve on the Eagle Downtown Advisory Board are required to submit a letter of interest and “Request for Consideration of Appointment” form to City Hall (PO Box 1520, Eagle, ID  83616) or to clerks@cityofeagle.org.  Open until filled.  The first review of applications will be on August 2, 2021.
